I suggest two Linux (Debian) servers. I’m creating a shell script.
#!/bin/bashtarget_array=( "/home/user/direct/filename -p123 -r")
He works delicately. But when I run this on another server I get:
Syntax error: "(" unexpected
As far as I know, both servers are duplicates. Can someone explain to us why this doesn’t work?
If I just type it in the terminal, is that okay?
sh scriptname.sh
I get an error, but when I run it as
, also
./scriptname.sh

-p123 works fine. But if I run this on the server I get:
Syntax error: "(" unexpected
As far as I know, all servers are the same. Can someone explain to us why this doesn’t work?
If I type it directly into the terminal, will this task be correct?
sh scriptname.sh
./scriptname.sh
It works if you add the main crunchbang line to the header of the script to force the shell interpreter part to use my bash
syntax instead of the default like the old sh
syntax. (This works for me without the Crunchbang collection, but for many reasons it was a good idea to use the dedicated Crunchbang ruler.)
#!/bin/bashDeclare -a arr=("element1" "element2" "element3")for my partner in "$arr[@]"Do echo "$i"Finished
